Would you and a group of friends like to "adopt an intersection"? Get creative—give the intersection a theme and make it your own! Working as a team of four (supported by two police officers), Intersection Monitors are responsible for:
Stopping participants on the route, with signage or bright colored rope, when they come to a red light at a point where cars will be crossing the route.
Keeping participants from entering the intersection while cars move through the intersection on their green light. This is where the fun comes in—encourage idle participants to dance, create a silly handshake, or sing a song while waiting for the light to change!
When the participants have a green light, move the sign or rope and allow participants to move through the intersection.
